Chef Katie came to help us celebrate My sisters 40th. She was on time did an amazing job cleaning, but most of all her food was amazing! From appetizer To dessert everything we had was beautifully plated and equally delicious. With 8 of us and a few picky eaters, everyone had an amazing meal. This whole process was so wonderful from start to finish.

The food was delicious. The salad was tasty, vegetables cooked to perfection and the apple pie was superb. Katie was very responsive and accommodating. We had to make a small change with the time at the last minute, and she immediately confirmed the new time.

We opted to have our food served family style. We did not get the two carbs to accompany our meal and some of my guests do not like Mac and cheese (appetizer). This meant that those guests had only veggies/salad for sides. I only wished that this was communicated when we opted for family style so that I could have made the proper adjustments to accommodate everyone’s palate.

Chef Katie was awesome! She arrived on time (even a few minutes early) and was very professional. There were 11 of us in the group, and all of us were happy with the meal, from the presentation to the food itself. Everything was fabulous, but the smoked brisket mac and cheese was perfection. We would absolutely hire Chef Katie again next time we’re in Charleston!

We vacationed in Folly Beach with friends and family, to celebrate our daughters’ 21st Birthday. We chose Katie Murdock’s “Family Gathering” menu and it did not disappoint! More than enough food. So much so, we had lunches for 2 days. Katie was on time, she did all the work. It was fabulous. We go to FB every April and I will be calling her again!

We had the BEST meal by Chef Katie for my Bachelorette trip! She was very professional and the food was absolutely delicious! The BBQ Brisket Mac and Cheese was one of the best things we’ve ever eaten. We raved about it all weekend and were so happy to have leftovers to come home to the next day. Would absolutely recommend Chef Katie for a Bachelorette Party or even just an elevated meal at home!

Had the best time in Charleston this past weekend but a highlight of the trip was our in house chef dinner with Chef Katie! She was kind, efficient, clean and an EXCELLENT CHEF! Would 100% recommend. There are multiple, unique menus to choose from and she even made sure we had enough dishes since our Airbnb didn’t quite have enough for the 11 of us. Each course was unique and tasty but my favorite part was the s’mores dessert!

We hired Chef Katie to prepare our dinner for the first night of my bachelorette party, and she crushed it! We started with the pimento cheese and bacon jam and the lobster beignets, both of which were amazing, but we especially loved the lobster beignets. For our entrée, we got the filet of beef, which was cooked to the perfect temperature. We finished with the salted caramel panna cotta, which was the perfect ending to the whole meal, especially for those of us who love caramel. Chef Katie was really nice and professional throughout the whole night too! It really was the perfect kickoff for my bachelorette weekend!

We cannot speak more highly of Chef Katie’s skill and professionalism. She communicated throughout the planning; adapted to changes and made great recommendations.

The meal was delicious from start to finish and she left the kitchen cleaner than she arrived.

Chef Katie worked with my husband to pull off an amazing anniversary surprise! We were in awe of her food presentation and how swiftly she worked while paying attention to detail. Chef Katie was personable and made us comfortable with the entire experience! The food was so delicious – a night we’ll never forget!

We had Chef Katie cook an indoor backyard barbq for us just 2 nights after she cooked an Asian influenced meal for us. She is a delight, she comes on time, she is prepared, and she keeps the meal on track. We had the low country boil, the chopped Romaine salad (like a delicious Italian antipasto salad), and the UNBELIEVABLE strawberry shortcake trifle. You must order this dessert!!! We had a bunch of food leftover and Chef Katie packaged it up for us and cleaned our kitchen perfectly.

Katie cooked us a delicious meal for our first night in Charleston! We had a jam-packed weekend of bachelorette activities, so it was perfect to have a chef come to our Airbnb and cook for us. Katie was incredibly efficient and professional. She was extremely accommodating of multiple dietary restrictions in our group. And she stayed to clean up after! The salmon was cooked perfectly and was delicious. Highly recommend.

Chef Katie was fantastic! She showed up right on time, was well-prepared, and had everything taken care of. We sat down and our dinner was ready right on time. Katie came to our vacation rental on Seabrook Island for our daughter’s 30 birthday celebration. She prepared the Good Ol’ American menu for our party of 9. She was very attentive to a food allergy that one guest had. Katie was on time and immediately got to work. She had the appetizers out at our preferred time and we served them family style. The brisket Mac n cheese was simply amazing and the cornbread muffins were delicious. Next was the best French Onion soup I have had in 10 years. We had the beet salad and the colors beautiful on the plate ( tasted good too!) The oh so tender beef tenderloin, lobster mashed potatoes and roasted asparagus were a perfect end to a wonderful food experience! Katie cleaned up everything, boxed up the leftovers and even was kind enough to take a few family pictures for us. Overall, this was a top notch experience. I would recommend chef Katie to all who are looking for a special dining experience!

Having never gotten a personal chef let alone getting one on the internet, I can’t over say how great the experience was. The meal was fresh and perfect. Katie was wonderful and cooked and cleaned up in the blink of an eye!

We chose Chef Katie to cook our special meal. The communication from beginning to end was flawless. She assisted me on dinner options as it was a party of 12ppl and big eaters!

Day of the Dinner, She came over on time, prepped and made the dinner so quick that we were very impressed and the food was so amazing!! Katie was great! We had a dinner for my sister’s bachelorette in an AirBNB which let’s say, didn’t have the BEST or BIGGEST kitchen. She made it work and was so responsive and flexible. The girls had nothing but amazing things to say about the food and the bride was so impressed. We wish we did it earlier in the trip so we could eat all the leftovers! The apps alone were so tasty and big portions. I would definitely recommend her for your next party.

We booked Katie Murdock for a large ladies seafood night. The food was incredible! Katie and her assistant were efficient and very attentive in making the whole meal and night amazing. The evening ended with a completely clean kitchen and beyond full bellies!

Katie prepared a meal for 8 at my house for my birthday and it was spectacular. She did a 4 course menu, customized for the season and my tastes, with multiple choices for each guest. Everything was piping hot and delicious. She even washed all the china and flatware! This is my new favorite thing, and I will most definitely hire Katie again.

Our holiday party was given in our home for my staff and their spouses. There were 16 of us. Katie and her helper took care of everything! She prepared an incredible meal of beef tenderloin, soup, salads, vegetables, and desserts. My guests raved about the meal! The tenderloin was perfectly cooked and everyone loved it. Katie also created a signature cocktail for the party and it was a huge hit. Afterward, she and her helper cleaned up the entire kitchen…a true bonus! I will definitely call Katie for my next party and I highly recommend her for your catering needs.

From beginning to end, this was the perfect experience! We wanted to do something special to celebrate our 40th anniversary while vacationing in Charleston with our family. FF&K came up in my search for a personal chef in Charleston. I loved the convenience of being able to select every component of the menu at my convenience. On the day of the dinner, Chef Katie arrived to our rental home and took complete command of the kitchen. In a short time we were served a beautifully presented meal that was unbelievably delicious from the first appetizer bite to the last spoonful of dessert. Using Food Fire + Knives was a wonderful experience! It made planning a COVID-safe in-home party simple and quick. Chef Katie Murdock was really amazing. We went with her Southern Staples menu, but Katie was very accommodating with changing some of the dishes out for things from some of her other menus and offering multiple choices for my guests even through it was a small party. She also didn’t mind serving in the back yard, which is a flight of stairs down from the kitchen! She was friendly, professional, prompt, and the food and service was spot-on. I also had great experiences the few times I needed to contact the folks behind the app. They were also flexible, accommodating, and gave super quick responses. Katie came to our rental home and cooked a delicious meal (Low Country cuisine) for my wife’s birthday. She couldn’t have been more pleasant and accommodating. Would certainly have her cook for us again, and recommend her to anyone looking for a private dinner at home.

Given the pandemic, I brought most of our food from home. We are big foodies. My 19 year old collects Michelin guides for Washington DC and NYC and we go through his list. I wanted a break from cooking., so I booked Katie for mid-week. We choose BBQ. We had plenty of food and had lunches for a couple of days. Katie was very professional and her food was yummy. I highly recommend!

We had 3 nights with a personal chef, the Asian menu was recommended by a fellow chef who we had earlier in the week. It did not disappoint! It was our last night. The food was spot on. Katie was professional. All we had to do was sit back and enjoy. With the pandemic, we did not venture out to any restaurants. Hiring a personal chef allowed us to enjoy a gourmet meal in our beach house. We are booking the house again for next year and regardless of the situation, will opt for Katie over a restaurant!!

We hired Chef Katie for a family dinner while on vacation at Kiawah Island. She arrived promptly even with a long drive. She was prepared and efficient. The entire experience was about 90 mins including her stellar clean up of the kitchen (I’m sure she left it cleaner than when she arrived!). Her tomato bacon pie was outstanding.
