Chef Gianino is a true professional

He took care of me and my guests for my very intimate rooftop wedding reception dinner and understood the importance of moving with purpose. Him and his Sous Chef Chris provided top tier service and hospitality without being seemingly overbearing for the occasion. Of course, the food was to die for, that goes without saying. Thank you both for making my reception dinner the success it was! We’re all the talk amongst our friends!

FANTASTIC CHEF!

Chef Chris was amazing and so accommodating! We had a party of 15 staying together for a weekend in Nashville and knew that would be impossible to get a reservation for. We opted for a private chef. This was my first experience with a private but absolutely loved it and would highly recommend! Food was OUTSTANDING! Chris was super chill and fit in well with our group. I highly recommend booking him for your next stay in Nashville! Our meal included shrimp and grits, Chicken and Waffles, pork nachos, and a watermelon appetizer!

Great Experience for Bachelorette

Chef Chris was great! We had him come cook us dinner on the last night of a 3 night trip, and it was an excellent experience. It allowed us to relax and wind down, while enjoying a delicious meal. He was prompt and had all of the dishes out exactly when we expected. We also enjoyed talking to him and having an experience we normally wouldn’t have. I would highly recommend this for anyone going to the area!

Great Job!

Chris did a great job of being a host and cooking for our group of 8 last week. He made sure to fully explain each dish and provided plenty of food for us all. The food was absolutely delicious and he really made it feel like a private restaurant experience in my own home. I have recommended his services to multiple friends and am looking to plan my next event soon.

Amazing food and experience

Highly recommend booking Chef Chris! This was our first time booking a private chef, the food and experience exceeded our expectations. Chef Chris arrived a few minutes before the scheduled time with all the necessary ingredients and utensils at our Air BNB. We were celebrating my mom’s 60th birthday. We hung out on the rooftop while he prepared delicious and beautifully presented courses family style. Throughout the night we had lovely conversation with him. He was more than accommodating. Each course was delicious. Then he cleaned everything quickly and seamlessly that you wouldn’t have known a large dinner for 6 had even been prepared. Even our dog Chief loved Chef Chris, with a few tastes of the meal while he watched him cook in the kitchen. Thank you for making my mom’s birthday weekend so special!

CHEF CHRIS WAS FANTASTIC!!!

I can’t say enough about Chef Chris! From the first email to let me know he recieved my order to the night he cooked and served 15 of us an unbelievable meal, Chef Chris was very professional and a pleasure to work with. In our group we had a person with a peanut allergy and another with an extreme gluten allergy. Chef Chris assured us he was very cautious and took allergies very serious. It was so nice to be reassured at least 3 times (because I kept reminding him) that he was on it, so we could relax and not worry.
We were all flying in at different times for my daughter’s bachelorette weekend, so as you can imagine the day was hectic. Chef Chris was very calm and easy going and just a complete pleasure to work with, and have in the kitchen!
I have already recommended him to another bachelorette weekend gathering and will definitely request him on my next trip to Nashville!

Beautiful rehearsal dinner!

Chef Gianino was an absolute pleasure to work with! We had a group of 13 for a rehearsal dinner in an Airbnb, and the experience was so lovely! Chef Gianino was communicative, prepared, and kind. He prepared an impressive 4 course meal, accommodating our requests for additional entrees. Each course was beautifully plated and delicious, putting his personal touch on each. On top of an incredible meal, he opened up his kitchen to us, was happy to answer our questions and chat. We were so grateful to have Chef Gianino be part of our special weekend. You’d be lucky to have him at yours!

Bachelorette Brunch!

I booked Chef Chris as a surprise for my sister’s bachelorette trip and it could not have gone any better! The food was absolutely delicious–probably the best eggs benedict I have had in my life–and the conversations and service Chris provided made the morning that much more special. Thank You Chef!

My parents were celebrating their 70th anniversary and I wanted to do something really fun. I found Chef Christopher Gianino on Food Fire + Knives, liked his menus and his vibe too. He was so professional, sharing everything in advance and even sending pics after. My parents called after Chef left and raved about the food and Chef Christopher too. He even made them some special cookies to help them celebrate. Highly recommend Chef Christopher Gianino for ANY event or occasion. Thank you Chef!

Delicious!

So so so good! The food was incredibly delicious and the experience was wonderful. Chris was polite, kind, professional and cleaned up after.

My only downside was the menu I chose had side dishes, the salmon was suppose to come with grits and sweet corn but the salmon was substitute for a different type that was garnished but no sides.


How to Hire a Private Chef for Your Event

  • Pick a place, date, and time.
  • Select your chef and menu. (Each chef offers different menus which are fully a la carte. Simply choose the dishes you want for your occasion.)
  • Add details like the number of guests and any special instructions.
  • Pay for your reservation. Make any changes or even cancel up to a week before your event for a refund.
  • After you’ve made a reservation, the private chef you’ve hired will reach out within 48 hours to confirm the details and coordinate their arrival.
  • If you’ve added any special dietary restrictions or event instructions, they’ll work with you to implement those.
  • Your chef will arrive with everything they need, including ingredients, cooking equipment, and cleaning supplies. All you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy the day with your guests.
  • The cleanup is included too! Hire a private chef with us and know that we’ll likely leave your kitchen cleaner than when you gave it to us.

Our Top FAQs

1. Can I customize the menu?

Absolutely! All our menus are fully a la carte. Once you’ve decided on a chef, you’ll see a list of all the dishes they offer and you can choose the ones you’d like for your event.

2. How is your service priced?

You pay a fixed price per guest based on your menu, plus a small, all-inclusive booking fee to our platform. You’ll be able to see exactly what you’re paying when you make a booking. No hidden costs, ever.

3. How many guests can I invite?

As many as you like! Although for events with over 30 people, we ask that you reach out to us to make an event inquiry.

4. My group has multiple dietary restrictions

That’s absolutely fine! When finalizing your menu, please mention these under ‘Special Instructions.’ For instance, you can specify that you’d like to accommodate one vegan guest and one gluten-free guest for your at-home catering and your private chef will prepare suitable dish variants for those guests.

5. Can I make changes to the menu or guest list?

Yes! You can make any changes to your booking. You can even cancel it up to a week before your event, and you’ll receive a refund.

6. Is my event insured?

Yes, it is. Our service includes full insurance for your private chef in case of any mishaps.

7. How are the Chefs chosen?

Each chef is fully vetted. We require at minimum one year of sous chef experience. Your chef has gone through an FCRA compliant background check and multiple interviews before joining our platform.

8. What is FFKs cancellation and refund policy?

We take pre-payment to secure your chef and simplify our service. No fumbling with payments after your event or dealing with multiple payments in different stages of the process. Much like our service, our return policy is simple and meant to protect you, our hosts and our amazing Chefs.
  • One week or more before your event we guarantee your refund.
  • During the week of your event we offer a 50% refund.
  • We will not be able to refund within 48 hours of your event. At this point your chef has not been available for other parties and has already planned for your event. *Please note all refunds are less processing and booking fees
