Simply the Best!

If you are looking for an at home chef for your next party, look no further than Chef Brandon! Chef Brandon cooked for my group of 14 for two back to back evenings as part of a bachelorette weekend. We had several different allergies and dietary restrictions and Brandon worked diligently to ensure the menu was safe for all to eat; this included a gluten allergy which Brandon graciously accommodated for in his Italian menu by making gluten free eggplant parm, pasta, meatballs, and even hand rolled gluten free cannolis. Not only is Brandon a phenomenal chef, but he is respectful, courteous, and left the kitchen cleaner than he found it. All 14 girls said our 2 meals with Brandon (Maine Meets Italy and Land and Sea) were some of the best they have ever had. Thank you Brandon!

Absolutely Incredible!

If you are choosing between main courses, the salmon is to die for!! Not only is Brandon a phenomenal chef, but he is respectful, courteous, and left the kitchen cleaner than he found it. All 14 girls said our 2 meals with Brandon (Maine Meets Italy and Land and Sea) were some of the best they have ever had. Thank you Brandon!

Birthday celebration

We celebrated my son’s 30th birthday with an outstanding dinner cooked by Brandon Simpson. The dinner was delicious, creative, plates beautiful, portions generous, dinner was served exactly on time and my kitchen was left cleaner than when he arrived. I have never used this type of service before and I would highly recommend and especially Brandon.

Excellent service!

Chef Brandon was amazing! Before the dinner he was in communication to coordinate everything that would be needed for the night of. He was able to work around our groups allergies/dietary restrictions without issue. The dinner itself was incredible, very well preparade. We had enough for lefts overs (that he packaged for us). When he was done he cleaned the kitchen and dishes. Chef Brandon was friendly and professional throughout the entire experience. Would work with again without hesitation!

Incredible Meal!

There simply aren’t enough stars to add to this review, the meal and experience from Chef Brandon was exceptional. Everything was perfectly cooked, seasoned, and harmonized. The wedge salad was an elevated version of a classic: duck, lamb and salmon entrees were all home run dishes with perfect sides to match; and the crème brûlée was a creamy, rich, and perfect finale to an incredible meal. As a bonus, he left an immaculately clean kitchen afterwards. could not recommend Chef Brandon enough!

Dinner for two

My wife and I received a gift certificate for Food Fire and Knives for Christmas. From the moment I first reached out, Brandon was fantastic. He responded quickly to my message, and customized a great menu. He arrived on time, was very professional, and in 14 years living in our house, this was the best meal our kitchen has ever seen. The food was very fresh, including things like tuna crudo, artfully and deliciously prepared, and at the end of the meal the kitchen and table were spotless. We could not have been more impressed. The Experience was a Blast

My friends and I recently had Chef Brandon Simpson cook Downeast Traditions: Classic Maine Fare. The meal we chose was lobster risotto. He was professional, on time, prepped, served and cleaned everything. He was fun to be around and engaged in conversation with us. The experience was a blast, having a delicious meal in the comfort of your own home and we are looking forward to having him back again!

Perfect Valentine’s Day

Brandon was responsive, prompt, and super professional. Also made a great impression, with his willingness to meet me halfway on some menu choices. Overall highly recommend the food and the chef, amazing experience. My girlfriend loved it and the food was delicious, also great portions as well. Would definitely hire again.

Chef Brandon is the best!

My group had a great experience with Chef Brandon. He was very easy to communicate with leading up to our dinner and continued his professionalism throughout our meal. Not only did our salad, appetizer and main dish taste amazing but the presentation was beautiful as well. Chef Brandon took over the kitchen the minute he walked in the door and left it spotless by the end of the night. I would recommend his services to anyone!

Excellent meal!

Chef Brandon Simpson was excellent all of the way through the process – he was very communicative, flexible and easy to work with leading up to the event, he prepared an excellent meal for 8 adults (exceeded expectations), and left the kitchen impeccably clean upon his departure.

How to Hire a Private Chef for Your Event

  • Pick a place, date, and time.
  • Select your chef and menu. (Each chef offers different menus which are fully a la carte. Simply choose the dishes you want for your occasion.)
  • Add details like the number of guests and any special instructions.
  • Pay for your reservation. Make any changes or even cancel up to a week before your event for a refund.
  • After you’ve made a reservation, the private chef you’ve hired will reach out within 48 hours to confirm the details and coordinate their arrival.
  • If you’ve added any special dietary restrictions or event instructions, they’ll work with you to implement those.
  • Your chef will arrive with everything they need, including ingredients, cooking equipment, and cleaning supplies. All you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy the day with your guests.
  • The cleanup is included too! Hire a private chef with us and know that we’ll likely leave your kitchen cleaner than when you gave it to us.

Our Top FAQs

1. Can I customize the menu?

Absolutely! All our menus are fully a la carte. Once you’ve decided on a chef, you’ll see a list of all the dishes they offer and you can choose the ones you’d like for your event.

2. How is your service priced?

You pay a fixed price per guest based on your menu, plus a small, all-inclusive booking fee to our platform. You’ll be able to see exactly what you’re paying when you make a booking. No hidden costs, ever.

3. How many guests can I invite?

As many as you like! Although for events with over 30 people, we ask that you reach out to us to make an event inquiry.

4. My group has multiple dietary restrictions

That’s absolutely fine! When finalizing your menu, please mention these under ‘Special Instructions.’ For instance, you can specify that you’d like to accommodate one vegan guest and one gluten-free guest for your at-home catering and your private chef will prepare suitable dish variants for those guests.

5. Can I make changes to the menu or guest list?

Yes! You can make any changes to your booking. You can even cancel it up to a week before your event, and you’ll receive a refund.

6. Is my event insured?

Yes, it is. Our service includes full insurance for your private chef in case of any mishaps.

7. How are the Chefs chosen?

Each chef is fully vetted. We require at minimum one year of sous chef experience. Your chef has gone through an FCRA compliant background check and multiple interviews before joining our platform.

8. What is FFKs cancellation and refund policy?

We take pre-payment to secure your chef and simplify our service. No fumbling with payments after your event or dealing with multiple payments in different stages of the process. Much like our service, our return policy is simple and meant to protect you, our hosts and our amazing Chefs.
  • One week or more before your event we guarantee your refund.
  • During the week of your event we offer a 50% refund.
  • We will not be able to refund within 48 hours of your event. At this point your chef has not been available for other parties and has already planned for your event. *Please note all refunds are less processing and booking fees
