Our family recently celebrated my husband’s birthday with a private chef experience from Chef Bryce Conrad. It was our first time having a meal like this, so I didn’t know what to expect. Within 24 hours of booking, Chef Bryce emailed me with all the info I needed and to schedule an intro call. When we spoke, he was prepared, professional and open to any/all questions. He made sure to keep me updated and check in a few days before the meal, so I felt reassured the entire time. When it came time for the meal, Chef Bryce arrived prepared with all food and cookware, made the most delicious meal and cleaned everything afterwards. (All the while, very patiently interacting with our toddler running around the kitchen.) Our three course meal was beyond delicious and thoughtfully crafted with local ingredients. We even had fresh flowers and beautiful place settings on the dining table. We all felt so special–it truly was a personalized and unique experience, not “just another dinner” at a restaurant. We especially appreciated getting to know him and his sous chef personally, all the while watching the meal being prepared and learning more about his craft. Overall, I highly recommend Chef Bryce for his amazing food and service, but mostly for who he is as a highly creative, skilled and kind human.
Bryce prepared an absolutely AMAZING meal (we chose A Walk in the Woods: steak and salmon options) for our party of 13. We were very impressed that everything was from scratch, even the pasta! The food was ready right at the time we requested and the kitchen was left spotless! He was very friendly and we loved interacting and asking questions about the meal. Would highly recommend Bryce to anyone looking for a chef in the area.

I’m glad you are thinking of allowing me to be your chef. When you look through my menus, I hope you’ll be enticed to try offerings that are innovative, delicious and above all, soulful. My experience in a variety of culinary settings allows me to be somewhat of a chameleon in the kitchen, while retaining my own unique style. I assure you that my dedication to excellence will prove to be an asset to the success of your event.
My culinary style can only be described as global and produce forward. I love bringing out the natural color and flavor of the earth, while playing off the diverse cultural influences of Asia, Europe and South America. When I create a menu, there is intention behind every texture, color and ingredient on the plate, and I strive to deliver only excellence.
I began working in kitchens at the age of 16, moving through all positions in the back-of-house while learning everything I could about the operational side of the industry. I’ve helped lead catering events up to 400 people, and all before the age of 19. I worked a few other jobs outside of the industry while operating as a private caterer and chef, focusing more on developing the nuance of my culinary style. A few years later, I find myself on the precipice of rejoining an industry that I’ve loved from the first moment I stepped into the kitchen. This time with an incredible platform like Food Fire + Knives.
Finally, a little bit about me as more than a chef. I live around the Asheville area with my beautiful wife and daughter of only a few months. We have a bernadoodle, love getting outside to hike these beautiful WNC mountains, and on the local rivers to whitewater raft. Family, fun and food are my focus in life, and I hope to share my passion with you all.

Absolutely! All our menus are fully a la carte. Once you’ve decided on a chef, you’ll see a list of all the dishes they offer and you can choose the ones you’d like for your event.
You pay a fixed price per guest based on your menu, plus a small, all-inclusive booking fee to our platform. You’ll be able to see exactly what you’re paying when you make a booking. No hidden costs, ever.
As many as you like! Although for events with over 30 people, we ask that you reach out to us to make an event inquiry.
That’s absolutely fine! When finalizing your menu, please mention these under ‘Special Instructions.’ For instance, you can specify that you’d like to accommodate one vegan guest and one gluten-free guest for your at-home catering and your private chef will prepare suitable dish variants for those guests.
Yes! You can make any changes to your booking. You can even cancel it up to a week before your event, and you’ll receive a refund.
Yes, it is. Our service includes full insurance for your private chef in case of any mishaps.
Each chef is fully vetted. We require at minimum one year of sous chef experience. Your chef has gone through an FCRA compliant background check and multiple interviews before joining our platform.
We take pre-payment to secure your chef and simplify our service. No fumbling with payments after your event or dealing with multiple payments in different stages of the process. Much like our service, our return policy is simple and meant to protect you, our hosts and our amazing Chefs.
