Sydney’s food is all about collaboration—between the chef and her sources (bakers, butchers, produce markets) etc—but also between the chef and the diner. Her meals are always full of different flavors and textures, that as you eat, it’s like you’re both engaging in a tag-team effort to craft that perfect bite. It’s always creative, always fun, and always delicious.
Sydney is a talented private chef, residing in Ridgewood, Queens, NY. Born and raised in rural Pennsylvania, surrounded by farms and Amish country, Sydney’s love for food and cooking was ingrained in her from a young age. After moving to New York City and spending seven years in the beauty industry, she realized that her true passion was in the culinary arts.
As a self-taught chef, Sydney has honed her culinary skills through various resources, including learning from family members in Alabama and Pennsylvania, cook books and cooking shows, and gaining culinary knowledge from local food vendors in her neighborhood. Her resourcefulness in the kitchen is notable, as she makes use of every ingredient and lets nothing go to waste. She loves to experiment and develop new dishes by mixing different flavor profiles.
Sydney quit her job in beauty and became an Executive Chef at wine bar. She developed her own menu and creating seasonal items, as well training on our staff on items. After becoming an Executive Chef, Sydney decided her true love was in working with families or for events. Now she is available for booking and does multiple pop ups around the city.
