Chef Shane came to our house to fix a special meal for our family and it was a wonderful experience. We enjoyed every course of delicious and delightful food. Shane was a delight to have in the kitchen. He cleaned up everything and made us feel like we knew him for years.
I am thrilled that we had Chef Shane out during our girls’ weekend. We were looking to have a dinner that was more delicious and satisfying than ordering catered food or going out to a restaurant, and Chef Shane delivered. He was an consummate professional and super communicative every step of the way–he texted me questions about our dietary requirements, gave suggestions about the menu and even sent a very helpful breakdown of which wines to get for each of his courses. You could tell that he really put his heart and soul into the food he made…he was so prepared, so eager to share his love of food with us and a perfect addition to our dinner party. Chef Shane produced an experience that our heart (and palates!) will never forget, and I will absolutely request his culinary services next time we need a talented and savvy chef.
Seriously, we had the best meal ever with Shane!!! We are both gobsmacked with the explosion of flavors!!! Thank you soooo much!!! … when you say, ‘ummmmm’ with every single bite, you know it’s a delicious meal!!
We had such a joyful evening with Shane! Thank you for thoughtfully preparing a perfect menu for us—we both agreed it pushed us to try new things but feels like something we will absolutely be able to replicate now that he has walked us through it! Shane has a natural talent for helping people feel comfortable in the kitchen. We really appreciated all of the extra tips and tricks he shared with us as well.
Friday night with Shane was outstanding. I absolutely loved learning the three new recipes as well as new techniques for some everyday culinary skills! A couple that stand out include how to cut a pepper and how to sharpen a knife using a honing steel. It was also really fun to use ingredients that were completely new to me like shallots, green onions, and tempeh. His sincere interest in providing the very best experience for us was felt from our first conversation in December when he took such interest in our cooking background and started putting together recipes and ideas for this class. Shane’s care during the class was especially felt in his willingness to frequently pause and answer questions or add context about what we were doing and why.
