Super Soul Bowl
This is a diasporic taste of Africa in a bowl. Either the ingredient or flavor profile is native to Africa, but made popular through their regional migration. For instance, A lot of cultures eat plantain, but from my experience, each culture makes them differently. West Africans cube them, Dominicans make long half-inch ovals, Jamaicans will but a plantain in half and fry the whole thing and all of its thickness. My favorite is the Honduran way: thinly sliced in circles.
