Chef Tharren and his sous chef used our limited airbnb kitchen to produce a wonderful meal. They were friendly and ensured that we could sit back and relax. We had some dietary restrictions in our group that they beautifully accommodated. The food was amazing – we chose goat cheese bruschetta, chicken lollipops, and a caramel fudge brownie. Everything was delicious!

The appetizers were out of this world! Lobster arancini and goat cheese bruschetta was best I’ve ever had! One of our bridesmaids doesn’t even like seafood and she went for seconds on the arancini!! Delicious! The main course we chose herb crusted filet, which was so flavorful and we loved the added lobster butter on top! Cashew crusted chicken lollipops were fantastic too! We ALL loved the Oreo Cookie Monster dessert, such a nice cherry on top for a fabulous meal! He even left us an entire pie in the freezer, which was a nice surprise later that night 😉 I couldn’t be happier to have booked Chef T for my sister’s bachelorette party. We will cherish these memories forever, and we’re so grateful that you were a part of the weekend festivities. If you’re wondering if you should book Chef T or not, DO IT! He even deals with pesky smoke detectors that go off every 5 mins, so that’s an added bonus lol! Thank you Chef T & Chef J!!!

Chef and his assistant provided us with an outstanding meal. He was flexible, gracious, knowledgeable and excellent chef. He came prepared with utensils, pots etc that he needed just in case our rental did not have them. The food was well thought out for complexity and flavor and chef explained all the intricacies. There were 7 adults and 2 young children who had a wonderful evening.

I cannot say enough good things. Chef Tharren and his team were incredible. He contacted me before the event to make sure he had all the necessary details and took it from there. Chef Tharren came with two team members (due to the size of our party, 19!!) on time and ready to go. They told us to just sit back and relax and have fun. So fun we did! The food was delicious as well as the service. They cleaned the kitchen to perfection afterwards too. Such a great, no hassle, elevated celebration for our bride.

We recently spent my bachelorette weekend in Savannah and decided to have one of our dinners cooked for us at our airbnb. Chef Tharren Printup was our chef and he was amazing! Both the lobster and steak were amazing. All of my friends raved about their meals for days. We ended the meal with a brownie sundae. Chef Tharren was awesome. Chef Printup is an amazing chef. The food was delicious. Chef Printup was very communicative leading up to the dinner and was able to cook everything even though we had some kitchen malfunctions. We hired Chef Tharren to prepare our daughter’s 30th birthday celebration. He did not disappoint! The food was outstanding and he effortlessly prepared, served and explained each course (3) for twelve guests. Great service, great food and great personality

This experience was INCREDIBLE. This was our first time doing something like this, and we got it as a gift for our family while we were in a rental property on vacation in Hilton Head. Tharren called right after I booked, and again before the scheduled date and worked with me on planning, any adjustments, and what if anything was needed on our end. Obviously being a rental house, we were at the mercy of what they had in the kitchen, but he came prepared with everything he needed.

Tharren exudes joy while he cooks, he talked with us as we had questions, told us about his cuisine, and cooking experiences all while making an incredible meal. He was thoughful in everything he did, respectful of the kitchen and space and created magic.

On to the food, if I have one complaint, it’s that Tharren has ruined bruschetta for me forever! 🙂 We will never taste anything as good! There were 9 of us, and not only was the food delicious, it was plentiful. We were all able to eat plenty with each course, and none of us had a problem doing so with how great it all tasted. We had two entree options that evening and everyone raved about whichever dish they had selected. The mashed potatoes were next level, the flavors were out of this world and he talked us through everything he made as he served it, and the ingredients.

While we were busy enjoying and eating the meal, he cleaned up all of his things and left the place cleaner than when he arrived. Even while doing this, continued to engage with us as we had questions, and was very conversational. This was a special experience for our family, and from start to finish he was a class-act, incredible chef, and truly truly truly exudes joy and happiness seeing his clients enjoy the food he works so hard to create. I’ll be 100% honest, when we thought of this as a gift idea for the family, I was cautiously optimistic, but a little nervous as to how it would all play out and he absolutely 100% went beyond any expectation that I could have imagined. I recommend Tharren without reservation (no pun intended!), and would encourage anyone to book with him. We hope to do it again one day soon!

Chef Tharren can simply do anything and everything! His versatile menus take you on a culinary journey around the world. We love having him join us on vacations and explore different cuisines and cultures under his masterful direction. He is a wiz at accommodating a wide array of preferences while maintains the integrity of every meal and bite. He can even make the most flavorful creations with limited kitchen space and tools. He never ceases to impress us. His shepherds pie and shrimp cocktail on this menu were amazing and I’d highly recommend them if you fancy a dinner from across the pond.

Tharren was an absolute gem! I hired him for a surprise birthday dinner that he knocked out of the ballpark! This was a Five star menu from appetizers to desserts! Chef Printup served a truly ambrosial meal, including, to-die-for Beef Wellington appetizer and perfectly cooked short ribs over creamy mashed potatoes. This was my first time ever having the private chef experience, and it was fantastic. Chef Tharren is extremely personal, loves what he does, and makes the private chef experience worth every penny. While cooking, Chef Tharren talked to us about his culinary experiences and showed us a few of his party tricks. Chef Tharren brought everything he needed to cook with and plates and utensils for us to use. He also cleaned up everything once he was done and left our apartment cleaner than the way he found it. Chef Tharren is incredible!!! After booking, chef T had called me to discuss our plan and kept in touch up until the day of my reservation. He showed up right on time and began prepping after chatting with me, he is super sweet and polite! He mentioned multiple times about my groups allergies which made me feel really comfortable. Now.. THE FOOD!!!! We had ordered a ribeye dish and a chicken and dumpling dish…. wow. I don’t think I’ve had better food seriously ever. Everything was so fresh and flavorful and perfectly cooked. Our entire group of 9 had jaws on the floor and ate in silence it was THAT good. Chef T stayed with us while we ate, he set the table, he did the dishes. His creole food and easy going personality give you a full southern affair that will have you loosening your pants. His seafood nachos and smoked Gouda risotto were the stars of the show followed by his sweetly satisfying beignets. Would love to have his food again.

Having Chef Tharren cook us dinner on our arrival day was one of the best decisions we made! It was so nice to arrive to our house and actually enjoy the time settling in, catching up, and drinking wine, while the chef created a fantastic dinner for us. Seriously, more than I could have hoped for! First off, Chef Tharren will communicate with you very effectively from the first time you reserve his services to right up to the day you WILL enjoy his services. So he makes you feel comfortable right from the jump. When you meet him, he is pleasant and always has a smile which makes him very easy to talk to. Now for the “meat and potatoes”…see what I did there? Every dish that we ordered…EVERY DISH…was the most mouth watering, flavor popping food that I have ever put in this mouth. The crazy thing is everything smelled so good but once you put in your mouth, it tasted even better. The way he executes and delivers you can tell why he is a master of his craft. You have not seen the last of me Mr. Chef Tharren, that was way too good to only have once! WOW!

Chef T was incredible! This was the perfect experience to kick start a bachelorette party and our group was reminiscing about the meal all weekend long! Therran was a wonderful chef. He was very polite and attentive the entire time. We ended up switching to a different menu of the same price and he made it seamless. The communication leading up to the event was just as wonderful as the service therran provided. I highly recommend therran for your private chef experience!

Recently we had a family reunion planned in Savannah Georgia and I was looking to find a chef that would make creole dishes. We lucked out when we came across Chef Tharren’s profile. He communicated very clearly from my first conversation with him to the day of the event. It was creole cooking at its best. It was not just the delicious food but the attention to detail that impressed me the most. Chef T came on schedule and set out the appetizers, entree and dessert in a organized, timely and efficient manner. Never felt rushed between the courses. Chef Tharren and his staff left the kitchen much cleaner than when they arrived. I would absolutely have chef T cook for us again and if he travelled up to the NY area I would organize an event just so my friends here would have a similar experience. This was the best meal we had our entire stay- better than any restaurant by FAR! Everything was delicious and we all cleared our plates. Chef Tharren was the nicest and accommodating person- was in constant communication, and made our night so special. I can’t recommend him and this menu enough!!

The real review:
We were fortunate to have Chef Tharren cook for the first night of our Girl’s Trip to Charleston, and when I say fortunate, I really, really mean FORTUNATE. Chef Tharren was such an absolute joy! When you see someone living their calling you can just tell – he was so professional, so gracious, so entertaining, provided such fantastic service, AND cooked us DELICIOUS food! He was the prefect combination of engaging and professional – he entertained us, but gave us plenty of space and time to enjoy each other and the food. Just perfect service all the way round! Also, at the end of the evening, he left the kitchen IMMACULATE!

We had the Seafood Cioppino soup, Seafood Nachos appetizer, Shrimp Po-Boy salad, Chef’s Favorite entree, and Berries Flambee dessert. You know when something sounds delicious when you read about it and then it sounds more delicious when someone tells you about it and then it’s even more delicious than you expect when you finally get to eat it!? It doesn’t happen often does it? It happened 5 times the night that Chef Tharren cooked for us! Every course was outstanding and we measured every meal that we had for the rest of our trip against what Chef Tharren made! All of us are foodies, so we went to some of Charleston’s finest restaurants on our trip, but more than once one of us said, “Chef’s was better” about something we ate while out on the town. You deserve to be as amazed and surprised as we were, so I won’t describe too much, but I will say that from my experience, there’s no bad choices from his menus. Whatever you choose will be delicious – even if you have to ask him to make adjustments because of your diet. A couple of us are pescatarians, so we asked chef to avoid using any meat products (bacon, chicken stock, etc), and I didn’t miss them! I’m a happy omnivore and I didn’t miss bacon or anything else – the food was that good! He was very responsive to questions about the menu and also gave excellent suggestions based on our preferences.

I feel like I could write a book about how much we enjoyed the food and the evening, but I’ll stop here. BOOK CHEF THARREN! I promise you won’t regret it!!

Tharren delivered an outstanding experience for our birthday dinner in Savannah. The food was top-notch quality, up there with the high end restaurants in the area. As this was a surprise dinner for my wife’s birthday on a weekend getaway trip, he made it very easy on me from the start. Tharren and I spoke a few times on the phone after the initial booking to finalize the details, and because I wanted to have a birthday cake for dessert, he provided me several great local bakery recommendations and then picked up the cake for me the day-of to have ready for the occasion. Tharren brought all his own cookware and dishes, made the meal, then did all the cleanup. He left the kitchen spotlessly clean. I highly recommend Tharren and this private chef experience!

Chef Tharren is amazing! I went with a group of 7 of my closest friends to Savannah for my Bachelorette party and we had him come over for dinner to bless us with a fantastic meal! We unanimously voted for The Bachelorette menu and it did not dissappoint. The lobster arancini was my personal favorite, but every dish exceeded our expectations. Not only was his food fantastic, but he has the best personality and we had so much fun spending the evening with him in our home. I WILL be using him again in the future and hopefully can get him up to Charleston to cook for us here as well. We spent less money and had a better experience with Chef Tharren than some of the other restaurant dinners we went out to, And we even had plenty leftover that he kindly boxed up for us to eat an hour or two later. Amazing in home Chef experience. We could not have been more impressed ! The whole process from booking to on site service was seamless and so easy. Our Chef Tharren Printup made our dinner party not only a success but he is incredibly personable and so fun to be around. The dinner was served as if you were dining at a Michelin star restaurant. Every dish was creative and no other word comes to mind other than FABULOUS!!! Our guests from Raleigh asked if he is available for the Raleigh area before the night was over. From beginning to end the evening was magical.

Chef Tharren was the best chef EVER! From our first interaction he was polite and professional! He made sure our every need was met and truly gave us a one of kind experience.
He arrived at the house at 4:30 and quickly got to work setting up the kitchen and the table! He prepared an amazing 4 course meal and each dish was better than the last! My personal favorite was dessert- a soft and fluffy cannoli and homemade whipped cream topped with graham cracker sprinkles! To top off the amazing meal Chef cleaned your the kitchen and made it sparkle making everything super easy for us to leave the next morning! I highly recommend this experience for any event- you will be full and happy at the end!!!

Tharren was absolutely fantastic!!! We had a bachelorette party in Savannah and everyone has said the experience of Tharren and the food was the best part of the whole trip. He was so kind and hospitable. The food was THE BEST and we couldn’t be happier. So much fun!!!!

Tharren was an absolute ROCKSTAR. My boyfriend arranged a surprise 30th birthday dinner for me at our Airbnb and Tharren was not only the icing on the cake but the reason that I had a cake. He went out of his way, and his job description, to pick up the birthday cake that my boyfriend ordered (and was still perfectly on time). Carrying bags on bags, Tharren walked through our door with the biggest smile on his face. Knowing nothing about our kitchen, or about us, Tharren was ready for anything. (This man comes prepared). His natural light and positive energy instantly lit up every corner of our 3-story townhome. He crafted an incredibly thoughtful menu, respectful of my many, many food sensitivities and it tasted like HEAVEN. Watching him cook was as captivating as his warmth. His true passion for food is immediately apparent, as is his kind nature. Tharren will bring more to your meal than to-die-for delicacies. He will make you laugh, he will make you feel special, and he will make you wish that he was your guest AND your chef. (He will also leave your kitchen SPARKING). I truly cannot sing his personal or professional praises enough. Tharren is simply the best.

So enjoyable! It was our first time having a chef in our home like that. The company was gracious to adjust the menu a little for us. I can’t say enough wonderful things about Chef Tharren. He was personable and communication, teaching as he cooked, as i pestered him with questions. He even gave me advice how to prepare my wild game and fish! He cleaned up after himself and even swept the floor. Definitely left the kitchen better than when he came. The meal was fresh and flavorful, delicious with perfect portions. He wrapped up the leftovers for us as well.
Most enjoyable. We will be repeat customers.
Seafood stew was my favorite, though the duck confit was hard to compete with. My husband loves his braised ribs, they were perfectly tender.
