Chef Mike was an absolute pleasure to work with and has an amazing talent. He made us the most delicious spread and we loved talking to him and getting to know him! Very professional and gave us everything we wanted and more for our special meal!
My friends and I decided to hire a chef for our birthday dinner. None of us had ever done this. The experience was awesome! We did not have to clean one dish. Mike was down to earth and very accomoodating for our family dinner of 9 adults and 6 kids under 6. Food was the best – even the adults commented that the kids chicken fingers were the best they have ever tasted. We would book mike again.
Chef Mike is a ragin’ Cajun from Biloxi, MS. He is well versed in Cajun cuisine as his family is originally from New Orleans. He is very familiar with the City of New Orleans, The French Quarter, etc, and has had a lot of experience picking fresh ingredients from that area. He worked in the casino culinary scene on the Gulf Coast before enlisting in the Army in 2001. After spending 10 years in the military and 3 deployments to Iraq, he finished his service to his country and went to culinary school. After culinary school, he went on the work at MGM Resorts Beau Rivage Casino to work fine dining. After getting a taste of fine dining he went on to run the premier brick oven pizza restaurant Sal & Mookie’s on the Coast. He and his family moved to Chattanooga in 2022 after he got a job with Square One Holdings as a Sous Chef at one of their restaurants, STIR Chattanooga. He currently works as a Chef at the Edwin Hotel Autograph collection and as a private chef.
